About Us

In late 2018, after I gained experience with the management of Minecraft servers as an administrator, I made the decision to venture out and create my own Minecraft server. In the process of making a survival server, I was largely working on the server by myself, however, this soon changed much to my surprise. My friend Sam (now my wife and Co-Owner of Apex Zombies), had invited some of our friends to help with building on the server, which allowed me to focus more on the behind-the-scenes/technical stuff. This was arguably one of the defining moments that lead to what Apex Zombies is today. The sense of community among friends helped curve the focus of what we wanted Apex Zombies to be, which was a place where people could come together to be a part of a community while having fun playing games (mostly Minecraft at the time lol).

I have always been a fan of zombie films and games etc and was struggling to come up with a name for the Network but wanted it to be zombie related. Eventually, I settled on the name "Apex Zombies", which became its official name on the 25th of December, 2018. My friends and I continued to work on the server and we publicly released the survival server on the 20th of February, 2019, which is the date we celebrate Apex Zombie's birthday.

While we continue to host a dedicated Minecraft server for people to play, our discord server has essentially become an extension of the Apex Zombies community. Now used as a gaming community discord server, where everyone is welcome to come together to play games they enjoy!
